Why did you start the Central Austin Book Club?
The Central Austin Book Club was formed from the desire to bring women together for more than just social hour. We want to create a place where women from different backgrounds and with different beliefs can come together to discuss deeper topics and ideas and grow deeper in their friendships through a similar interest: reading!
When do you meet?
We meet on the last Friday of every month unless that Friday is a holiday (i.e. Halloween or Thanksgiving). Any changes to the schedule will be posted on our Schedule page. We do not meet for the month of December.
Where do you meet?
We meet at someone’s house for a more relaxed atmosphere.
Is the book club open for anyone to come?
The requirements for the Central Austin Book Club are that you live in central Austin and that you are female! We do limit the meetings to 10-15 members so that we can comfortably meet in our homes.
Who chooses the books?
The hostess for the month selects the book.
How do I join?
Unfortunately, the Central Austin Book Club is at capacity! We will open it up to new members in the future, but for now, it is closed to new members. We would recommend that you check out the book clubs on Meet-Up to find a similar group to join!
